Sunnybrook Horse Camp is an immersion in horses! Our creative summer camp program provides extensive riding and lesson time. Days are filled with horse activities geared toward developing riders into accomplished horsemen and -women.

Riding lessons are taught by our top instructor, Rebecca Doane, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Science from William Woods University as well as several Regional and National Championship show titles. Riders will develop balance and coordination. Mastering control of a 1000 pound animal will definitely improve self confidence. The daily responsibility of chores will teach the skills needed to care and manage your own horse.

Level 1: Happy Horsemanship
The Happy Horsemanship program is designed for those riders with little or no formal riding instruction or experience.

The purpose of this session is to develop and foster an interest in the world of horses. Campers will learn riding basics, etiquette, grooming, feeding, watering, and barn management.

This is a half-day session from 9am to noon.

$325 per week.

Level 2: Intermediate Horsemanship

This full day session (9:00 am - 4:00 pm) is designed for campers who have been riding in a regular lesson program. Campers should be able to walk and trot confidently, show good control of their mount as well as negotiating traffic in the arena.

Imagine the entire week to love and take care of horses! Your horse will become your best friend and he/she will depend on you for everything - loving, brushing, feeding, grooming, tacking and, of course, riding!

$435 per week.

(There is a weekly board fee of $100 for campers bringing their own horses.)

Level 3: Advanced Horsemanship
This session is extremely riding intensive and designed for campers who can confidently ride at the walk, trot and canter and who are interested in taking their riding skills to the next level.

The main focus of this session will be fine tuning equitation for the show ring. Emphasis will be on perfecting position, resistance-free communication with the horse and preparation for the show arena.

$500 per week.

(Campers are encouraged to bring their own horses, although a limited number of school mounts will be available. Weekly board is $100. )

Horse Boarding
Boarding will be available to those campers who would like to attend camp with their own horse. Cost is $100.00 per week and includes a box stall, bedding, hay and grain. Campers should bring all necessary equipment for the horse (ie tack, grooming supplies, etc.)
